Among the natural heritages of Tuscan Maremma you can find out three medieval villages rich in history, charm and culture: Marciano, Montemerano and Pitigliano.
Today we want to suggest you a visit in these old hamlets situated in the Tuscan countryside.
- Manciano is a beautiful medieval village built on a hill, famous for its walls preserved in good conditions. Manciano is also called “Spy of Maremma” because it offers the view of exciting landscape as the sea, the mountains and the Tuscan hills.
- Montemerano is situated in the inner countryside of Maremma. The village offers spectacular landscapes and views able to surprise and excite the viewer. Montemerano is just a few minutes far from Saturnia Thermal Baths and Cascate del Mulino.
- Pitigliano is a beautiful medieval town founded on tufa rocks by the Romans. Pitigliano is the most interesting old hamlet of Tuscan Maremma. Its narrow streets are rich of history, art and culture. A visit in this charming Tuscan village is a wonderful experience in which you will be surrounded by enchanting landscape, ancient alleys, old buildings and a magical atmosphere.
